July 2024

  • Supports creating new clusters on Graviton EC2 instances in AWS. In standardized benchmark tests with data sizes of 100GB and 1TB, Graviton instances demonstrate a performance improvement of 20% to 30% over x86 instances. Since Graviton instances cost 20% less, clusters on Graviton instances can achieve an overall cost reduction of 30% to 40%.

  • Supports configuring Ranger plugin in Terraform.
  • Supports modifying the IOPS and bandwidth settings for EBS volumes.
  • Supports rolling upgrade of AMI.

June 2024

  • Supports configuring the static parameters of the BE nodes in a classic cluster or Compute Nodes in an elastic cluster.
  • Supports uploading and managing Apache Ranger configuration files.
  • Supports adjusting disks' IOPS and throughput.
  • Supports Unity Catalog for directly analyzing data in Databricks.

May 2024

  • Upgraded the framework of elastic cluster deployment on AWS. Supports creating multiple warehouses in an elastic cluster to isolate workload.
  • Added a Cluster Access switch to control whether the CelerData Cloud support team can access your cluster for support purposes.
  • Supports creating service accounts as the identities of authentication in OpenAPI and Terraform. For more information, see Service accounts.
  • Supports deploying a classic CelerData cluster on Azure by using Terraform. For more information, see Deployment on Azure.

April 2024

  • The CelerData Cloud BYOC provider on Terraform supports the idle_suspend_interval argument with which users can enable the Auto Suspend feature.

March 2024

  • Supports deploying elastic clusters on AWS.
  • Supports resource isolation by using multiple warehouses which are supported only on elastic clusters deployed on AWS.

January 2024

  • Supports deploying classic clusters on Azure.

November 2023

  • Supports a new AWS region, Europe (Frankfurt) (region code: eu-central-1). See Supported cloud platforms and regions.
  • Enhanced user awareness of attribute changes in Free Developer Tier clusters.
  • Optimized users' experience with the SQL Editor.
  • Other improvements and optimizations.

October 2023

  • Supports continuing to use or create a Free Developer Tier cluster after the free trial period ends.
  • Supports using one email address to create multiple accounts. To use this feature, contact us at cloud-support@celerdata.com.
  • Supports running scripts via Terraform.
  • Improved the alert system to reduce redundant warnings pushed to users, and optimized alert messages.
  • Other improvements and optimizations.

August 2023

  • Supports querying the CCU usage and billing information for clusters by using OpenAPI.
  • Supports viewing and downloading CCU usage and billing information for all billing periods in the billing dashboard of the CelerData Cloud BYOC console.
  • Supports downloading invoices and receipts for all billing periods in the billing dashboard of the CelerData Cloud BYOC console.
  • Brings the Terraform provider for cloud API. Users now can create clusters by using Terraform.
  • Supports creating a Tabular catalog by using the SQL editor of the CelerData Cloud BYOC console.
  • Supports subscribing to CelerData Cloud BYOC on AWS Marketplace.

June 2023

  • Supports two more AWS regions: Europe (Ireland) (eu-west-1) and US West (Oregon) (us-west-2). See Supported cloud platforms and regions.
  • Improved the notification system to reduce redundant warnings pushed to users.
  • Optimize users' experience with the SQL Editor.
  • Other improvements and optimizations.

May 2023

  • Added a notification center where you can view four types of notifications:
    • Warning: cluster exceptions, security violations, and overdue payments
    • Error: system faults and operation failures
    • Info: default messages such as new releases, logins and logouts, role and privilege changes, training courses, and feedback to issues of your concern, as well as other custom messages
    • Success: operations that are successfully completed
